Capela instituída por Maior Rodrigues com encargo de duas missas anuais, imposto numa casa na rua da Cadeia Velha do Funchal, defronte da Igreja do Carmo. Em 1668-11-19 procede-se à subrogação desta casa por uma fazenda no Estreito de Câmara de Lobos no sítio da "Casa Cahida", devido ao mau estado de conservação da referida casa.
