Acquisition letter by which Frei José de Lencastre, Inquisidor Geral, and D. Luís de Lencastre, Conde de Vila Nova de Portimão, executors of D. Veríssimo de Lencastre's will, bought a public debt instrument of 480 000 réis from Bartolomeu de Sousa Mexia, procurador da Casa do Infantado, and António Rebelo da Fonseca, tesoureiro da Casa, for 30 000 cruzados. The financial instrument would support the celebration of daily perpetual masses for Veríssimo de Lencastre's soul in his chapel. Contains copies of a royal decree and a letter of attorney.
