Chapel foundation deed by which D. Gonçalo Vaz de Castelo Branco, Regedor da Casa do Cível, and D. Beatriz Valente, his wife, established a chapel in the church of S. Martinho of Lisboa, entailing to it the third part of their assets, which included salterns (marinhas) in Póvoa, lands (casal) in Arruda and houses in Rua de Cata-que-farás, Lisboa. The revenues of those assets would support the celebration of annual masses for their souls and for the souls of the past administrators of the entail of Póvoa ("morgado da Póvoa"). After their deaths, the chapel would be administrated by whomever succeeded in the administration of that entail. The institutors determined that their bodies had to be buried in that chapel. To fulfil the will of Beatriz Eanes, Beatriz Valente's grandmother, who asked her granddaughter to support the celebration of annual masses for her soul in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, and to honour D. Violante's soul, the institutors determined that the future administrators had to give, each year, 50 réis, wheat and wine to that convent.
