Contract and bond deed between the prior and friars of the convent of S. Domingos of Guimarães and Gonçalo Peixoto da Silva de Macedo de Carvalho, Fidalgo da Casa do Rei, Donatário do Concelho de Penafiel e Sousa, by which the latter, representing Tadeu Luís António, his grandson and ward, committed himself to finish the construction of the chapel instituted by his late son-in-law, Gonçalo Lopes de Carvalho Fonseca Camões, and to adorn it appropriately. It would be administrated by the institutor's descendants and, in the absence of a lawful heir, by his closest living relative. The value which would be paid by Gonçalo Peixoto da Silva de Macedo de Carvalho would be decided after the appraisal of 2 masters. The friars accepted the contractual terms.
