Court sentence issued by the Relação da Bahia justifying the possession of some houses in Salvador by Damião de Lanções de Andrade, as administrator of the entail founded by his father-in-law Francisco Pereira do Lago, which were unlawfully seized by the Cabo do Comboio da Frota, for his own assistance during the time the fleet of the Companhia-Geral de Comércio do Brasil was achored in Salvador. The magistrates of the Relação recognized that the houses belonged to the entail and that they were rented to Nicolau Lopes Fiúza, merchant, who payed 70.000 réis in rent and was arbitrarily evicted by order of the Administrador da Companhia do Comércio in Bahia, who took over the houses for the assistance of the Cabo do Comboio. The desembargadores forbade any further actions of the Companhia de Comércio over these houses.
