Will (extract)

Will (extract) made by Estácio Rodrigues in which he founded an entail, with a perpetual obligation of 4 requiem masses celebrated in every year in the convent of S. Francisco, in Angra, Terceira island. Those masses should be celebrated by the Misericórdia of Angra, and the administrator should pay 1.000 réis in every year for this service. He named his wife Isabel Gonçalves as first administrator and their son João Rodrigues after her, and after his death he and all administrators should be succeeded by the eldest heir, male or female. If the bloodline was extinguished, the Misericórdia should administrate the entail.
