Dowry deed

Dowry deed by which padre António Boto and Maria de Sequeira, siblings, establish the dowry of their sister, Eufêmia de Sequeira, on the occasion of her marriage to Manuel Cabral de Abreu, son of Francisco Garcia Mascarenhas, who was also present. Padre António Boto and Maria de Sequeira give to their sister all their assets, some of which belonged to the chapel founded by Francisco Tomé da Moita and licenciado Padre Pedro Monteiro de Gouveia, the future bride's grandfather and uncle. The siblings give their sister those entailed properties with their pious obligation of some masses. Francisco Garcia Mascarenhas gives his son part of his properties with an obligation of four annual masses, founding a chapel or entail, which will be owned by the eldest son or daughter of Manuel Cabral e Abreu or someone he wants to appoint.
