Will (extract) by which D. Filipa de Castro bequeaths part of the third part of her assets to accomplish a perpetual daily mass in the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa for her soul and the souls of her husband, Manuel de Sampaio, her children, grandchildren and D. Luísa. She refers an asset (“uma viagem”) that should be sold to buy a public debt instrument to ensure this pious charge, but if the sale did not take place, she would entail half of the Quinta de Valongo, near Vila Flor, and, if necessary, other assets she shall inherit from her dowry and arras.
