Chapel foundation deed

Chapel foundation deed by Pedro Antunes Ribeiro. The founder established a chapel with the perpetual obligation of a weekly mass. He appointed his nephew Gervásio Antunes Ribeiro, priest of São Gens de Salamonde, as chaplain. The chaplain, treasurer and administrator of the chapel had to be close relatives of the founder, issued from the "Casa da Bouça" or "Louredo". Illegitimate children were excluded from these positions. In the case of two clerics with the same degree of kinship, preference was given to the poorest.
