Will made in Portalegre by which D. Maria Mendes, wife of capitão Luís Pereira de Sequeira, expresses her wish to be buried in the church of S. Martinho and establishes an entail with her remaining properties, with an obligation of ten annual masses. She named her son João Mendes as first administrator and his descendants after him. If he had none, the administration would be handed to his cousin, Maria da Anunciação, with twenty more masses. In case Maria inherited the administration, Beatriz Mendes would succeed her and after her death the entail would pass to the cathedral of Portalegre with the perpetual obligation of one weekly mass.
