Opening deed of the will made by the deceased Catarina Zuzarte in which she ordered the foundation of an entail.

Will made in Portalegre by Catarina Zuzarte, widow of Jorge Velez, in which she expresses her wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco. She establishes an entail composed of a watermill and her houses in Portalegre, with a perpetual obligation of two annual masses to be prayed by the priests of that convent. She named her granddaughter Catarina Zuzarte as first administrator and her descendants after her. If Catarina died without children, the administration would be handed to Maria Cid or Leonor David, granddaughters of the institutor, and if none of them had children, the administration would be transmitted to their siblings, starting with the eldest. If none of them had children, then the administration would be given to the closest relative of the institutor. In case the lineage of the instititor became extinguished, the Misericórdia would inherit the administration.
