Will

Will made by Francisco da Costa Forjaz, mancebo who never married, son of Diogo Forjaz de Gomide and Catarina de Almeida. He expressed his wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Portalegre and establishes an entail composed of his part of the estate of Torre, in Crato, and of his farmstead in Portalegre, with a perpetual obligation of three annual masses. He named his brother António Forjaz da Costa as first administrator and, after his death, the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir. All administrators were obliged to annex 200 000 réis to the entail.

Will

Will by which António Forjaz da Costa expresses his wish to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Portalegre. He declares that, as administrator of the entail founded by his brother, Francisco da Costa Forjaz, he had recovered one of his entailed properties which had been seized because of debts. He establishes an entail composed of a vineyard and an olive grove, over which he imposed a perpetual obligation of two annual masses celebrated every year in the convent of S. Francisco. He names his daughter Mariana as first administrator, and one of her daughters, afterwards. If she died without children, the administration would be handed to António's eldest daughter, Antónia, with the same conditions, and, after her death, the entail would be annexed to the one founded by Francisco da Costa Forjaz.
Includes a declaration deed disposing over non-entailed assets.
