Will

Will by which Maria Dias Penalva expresses her wish to be buried in the main church of Nisa, where her husband, Afonso Vaz Vilhegas, is buried. She establishes an entail composed of all the immovable assets of her reserved portion, receiving the due consent of her daughter Feliciana Vilhegas to do so, with a perpetual pious obligation of sixty masses celebrated every year. To administrate it she named her daughter Feliciana Vilhegas during her lifetime and, after her death, the administration would be handled to the grandson of the institutor, son of Francisco Soares, and from there on the succession should continue, preferably, on the eldest male heir.
Includes an approval deed and opening deed of the will, both made in 1701.
