Opening deed of a will chart of priest Diogo Caldeira de Miranda.

Will chart of padre Diogo Caldeira de Miranda, ordering his grave in the church of São João of Abrantes. He was the executor of Martinho Ferreira da Câmara and administrator of the chapel he had instituted in that church, although he was a cleric. As he had not fully fulfilled the institution, he attached some properties to the chapel, to fulfill the charges. He appoints D. Leonor de Miranda, his niece, to succeed him in the administration, being able to nominate the successor. If she did not, André Ferreira, son of Gaspar Ferreira, would succeed her.
He also instituted a chapel, entailing the Facheiros' farmhouse (casal), for the fulfillment of charges, celebrated in the church of São João Batista of Abrantes. He appoints D. Leonor de Miranda, his niece, the first administrator, who was responsible for appointing the successor. If he did not do so, the successor would be Vicente de Sousa de Mendanha.
