Tenure contract

Tenure contract established between Serafina Henriques de Azevedo, on behalf of Roque Madeira da Cunha, her nephew, and Francisco Vieira, moleiro, in which the first leased to the second one, perpetually, a property in Torres Vedras ("Azenha do Chantre"). That property was incorporated in Aldonça de Mendonça's entail. The contract was approved by Fernando Pereira Pestana and D. Joana de Andrade, the landlords of the said property.

Will chart

Will chart by which Aldonça de Mendonça, Lourenço de Castro's wife, establishes an entail with the third part of her assets, including properties in Torres Vedras ("azenha") and Lourinhã, whose revenues would be used to support the pious obligation of 10 masses celebrated, each year, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa. She appoints her daughter, Maria, as the entail's first administrator. If the latter died before her father, Lourenço de Castro, he would inherit it. Aldonça chooses to be buried in the church of the convent of S. Francisco de Xabregas, inside the chapel of her grandparents and her father, João Pestana Pereira. Followed by an approval deed issued on 1609-04-10; an opening deed issued on 1612-05-24; and a declaration deed through which the testatrix expresses her wish of being buried in the convent of Santíssima Trindade instead, issued on 1612-05-21.
