Acórdão em relação (transcription) condemning the defendant, not named, to relinquish to Pedro, minor, administrator of the entail of Beatriz Ribeiro and son of the plaintiff, not named, an entailed public debt instrument, which was seized to pay a debt, and, before the auction, was incorporated in the king's assets and donated by the king to the defendant as a reward for his services. This public debt instrument had been left by Beatriz Ribeiro to her brother, Baltasar Ribeiro, after his death it had passed to D. Maria de Gouveia, who had passed it to her daughter, Antónia Josefa de Sousa, mother of D. Maria Teresa de Ayala, Pedro's mother.

Court proceedings (partial) regarding the ownership of a public debt instrument belonging to the entail founded by Beatriz Ribeiro and seized to pay a debt.

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Beatriz Ribeiro bequeaths 50 000 reis of interest to her brother, Baltasar Ribeiro, and his wife, Guiomar Rebelo, with the obligation of 50 masses for her soul in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. If by the time of Beatriz Ribeiro's death, Baltasar and Guiomar have already died, the entail shall be bequeathed to D. Maria de Gouveia, daughter of João Rebelo and Isabel Leitão, and wife of the licenciado Valentim de Costa de Lemos, juiz de fora of Vila Franca, and to their descendants thereafter, with the same obligation. If their lineage is extinguished, the entail shall be bequeathed to the Misericórdia of Lisboa. She also bequeaths her niece, Francisca Cardoso, daughter of her sister, Luísa Ribeiro, another public debt instrument of 50 000 reis, with an obligation of 50 masses over her tomb. After Francisca's death, it shall be given to the Confraria das Chagas of the same convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, with the same obligation.
