Will (extract) by which Álvaro Fernandes de Melo informs his mother that he has a natural daughter named Mariana, and begs her to take care of her if he dies in his trip. He also bequeaths the properties that he should inherit after his mother's death to this daughter, with the obligation of 20 masses for his soul in the church of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. If his daughter dies before him, the entail shall be bequeathed to Simão Dias, his brother, and to his successors.
