Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Maria Fernandes, António Bocarro's wife, orders that the remaining part of the third of her assets shall be entailed with the third part of her husband's assets, or separated from it, according to his will, with the obligation of one daily mass and one anual mass for her and her relative's souls.

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which António Bocarro bequeaths to his three sons the third part of his and his wife's assets, under the condition that each of them shall create an entail with their parts, annexing to them two thirds of their legitimes, otherwise they will lose their part of the assets to the sons who comply to the will. If all of his sons die without heirs, their entails shall be bequeathed to António's brother, Afonso Bocarro, or, if he dies without descendants, to his other brother, Gaspar Bocarro. He also establishes, together with his wife, Maria Fernandes, a chapel in S. Francisco of Lisboa, where his parents and siblings are to be buried together, with a chaplain who shall pray one daily mass, and the obligations decided by his executors.
