Court sentence issued by Henrique de Sousa Serrão, Desembargador da Relação eclesiástica, by which he confirms that Doutor Estêvão Leitão de Meireles founded a chapel through his will, entailing the third part of his assets, which was duly paid to his son, Luís Leitão de Meireles. He also ordered that extracts of Doutor Estêvão Leitão de Meireles' will, and the partition deed concerning his assets, were copied and delivered to the Juizo das Capelas.

Partition deed

Partition deed issued by Doutor Manuel de Araújo de Magalhães, Juiz dos órfãos de Lisboa, through which the patrimony belonging to the late Doutor Estêvão Leitão de Meireles and D. Maria da Silveira, his late wife, was inventoried. A significant part of those assets was delivered to their only son and heir, Luís Leitão de Meireles. The third part of Estêvão Leitão de Meireles' assets, which was entailed to a chapel he established through his will, consisted of houses in Lisboa, a farmstead (quinta) in Ameixoeira and lands in Abrantes and Torres.

Extract of the will by which Estêvão Leitão de Meireles establishes an entail, incorporating in it the third part of his assets, with the pious obligation of 25 masses celebrated, each year, in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, where he would be buried. He appoints his only son, Luís Leitão de Meireles, as his heir and the entail's first administrator.
