Subrogation deed

Subrogation deed between D. Miguel Pereira Coutinho, cavaleiro da Ordem de Cristo, his wife, D. Maria Pereira Coutinho, and Sebastião de Carvalho e Melo, through which the couple sold to the latter properties they owned in Godinheira and Alpolentim, formerly incorporated in Francisco Pestana and Beatriz de Faria's entail, for 180 000 réis. Miguel and Maria substituted those by incorporating other properties, they already owned, located in Sobrena, in the outskirts of the village of Cadaval. Contains a copy of an extract of Francisco Pestana and Beatriz de Faria's will and an inquisitio with witnesses testimonies, regarding the geographical limits of the couple's lands in Sobrena.

Miguel Pereira Coutinho to Sebastião de Carvalho e Melo, and the subsequent entailment of the lands of Sobrena to that institution. Contains a copy of the subrogation deed.

Will (extract) by Francisco Pestana and Beatriz de Faria, his wife, through which they establish an entail, with the third part of their assets, including lands (casais) in Loures, in Godinheira, in Alpolentim and a farmstead (quinta) in Varatojo. The revenues extracted from those assets should support the celebration of 4 annual masses in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa.
