Contract and bond deed

Contract and bond deed by which Francisco da Rocha, cavaleiro fidalgo da Casa do Rei, and his second wife, D. Leonor Martins establish the conditions of payment for their chapel in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, which Francisco da Rocha had established in a contract dated 1597-04-10. At the time he had established a chapel dedicated to S. Francisco, with half an annual of masses entailed in a public debt instrument of 9 000 reis. They now establish the entail in 20 000 reis of interest in the Casa da Alfândega de Lisboa, for half an annual of masses for the soul of Isabel Jorge, Francisco da Rocha's first wife, and another half of an annual for their own souls. They pledge in their name and the names of their successors to always pay these obligations to the friars of S. Francisco of Lisboa, who pledge to always keep them. D. Leonor Martins accepts these conditions in the following day.
Followed by a note informing that after the administration of the chapel had passed to José da Rocha de Vasconcelos, in the 18th century, the chapel was entailed to his farmstead near Poço do Bispo, Marvila, and a document dated 1858-10-13, informing that this farmstead was subrogated for other revenue because it was expropriated by the Caminhos de Ferro do Leste.
