Bond

Bond by which Manuel Rodrigues, administrator of the chapel of Graça Serrão, after subrogating the houses in Lisboa which were entailed to the chapel, for his properties in Barcarena, promises to the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa to keep the same obligations of eight masses established in the institutor's will. Followed by the acceptance deed of this bond by Manuel Rodrigues's wife, Maria de Gouveia, dated from the same day.

Will (extract) by which Graça Serrão bequeaths her nephew, Pedro Serrão, 100 000 reis so he can acquire property to entail to a chapel of eight annual masses for her soul in the altar of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. While he hasn't acquired the properties, the masses shall be supported by Pedro Serrão.
