Codicil (extract)

Codicil (extract) by which Rodrigo Fernandes de Évora, Jorge Fernandes de Évora's brother, establishes a chapel in the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa, incorporating in it his houses in Évora, lands in Fonte Santa and A-dos-cãos, in Loures, and lands (casal) in Sapataria. He appoints his nephew, João Pinto, to be the entail's first administrator, ordering him to support the celebration of annual masses in the church of that convent. He allows the future administrators to lease or sell his assets in Évora, as long as they use the sale's profit to incorporate lands located in the outskirts of Lisboa in the entail.

Declaration deed

Declaration deed by which João Pinto and Beatriz de Góis, his wife, appoint Luís Alves da Fonseca as the administrator of Rodrigo Fernandes de Évora's chapel. They entail to it rents (foros) and houses they had in Évora, ordering Luís to support the celebration of 20 annual masses in the church of the convent of S. Domingos for his parents' souls. They declare that their eldest son, Miguel Pinto da Fonseca, was already appointed to succeed in the administration of Jorge Fernandes de Évora's chapel, which João's uncle had left him.

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Rodrigo Fernandes de Évora declares that he had reached an agreement with the friars of the convent of S. Domingos of Lisboa for them to celebrate annual masses for his soul in the chapel of S. Tomás. He also states that he wants his properties to be entailed to a chapel, which should be administrated by members of his lineage.

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which João Pinto, administrator of Rodrigo Fernandes de Évora's entail, incorporates in it lands he owned in Loures, adding the pious obligation of celebrating 20 annual masses for his soul. Since the properties of Évora, belonging to the entail, were in a ruinous state, he asks his son, Miguel Pinto, in case he chooses to sell them, to buy other properties in the outskirts of Lisboa with the purpose of entailing them to it.
