Will chart

Will chart made in Santiago de Cabo Verde by Rui Baraça, Tesoureiro da Sé, in which he ordered the foundation of two entails. The first entail would be composed of the farm of São Domingos, with it's sugar, cotton and subsistance plantations, thirty cows and also seven enslaved persons, over which he imposed a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated every week as long as the world lasted, naming Fernando de Fontes, licenciado, to administrate it during his lifetime, and, before his death, he would appoint one of his children to suceed him with the same conditions. The second entail would be composed of some cotton plantations, 77 cows and also ten enslaved persons, over which he imposed a perpetual pious obligation of one mass celebrated in every week as long as the world lasted, and to to administrate it he named his nephew Miguel, son of his niece Filipa Olália, with the condition that he would study and become a priest. After the death of Miguel, the administration would then be handled to his mother or to the eldest relative of her lineage, where it should remain. If anyone of the entailed cattle and slaves were sold, died or run away, the administrators of both chapels would be obliged to replace them immediatly, in order to keep their numbers as disposed on this will.
