Will (extract) by which doutor João Baião de Magalhães declares that his wife, D. Joana de Abreu, left him a public debt instrument of 15 000 reais in the Paço da Madeira, with an obligation of masses every Friday and on the holidays of the Virgin. He requests his executor to buy a public debt instrument of the same amount, to join to hers and entail, with his properties, to an obligation of a daily mass in the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa, which shall incorporate the masses ordered by his wife. He appoints his nephew, João Baião, as his universal heir.
Preceded by a summary of the will of D. Joana de Abreu, dated 1611-10-22 and opened in 1611-10-24, in which it is explained she entailed her 15 000 reis of interest and requested that her husband do the same, if he so wished.
