He appoints his eldest son, Vasco de Sousa, as his universal heir, bequeathing him his third part as an entail, together with another entail he possesses, with an obligation of two weekly masses in his burial place.

Will (extract) by which doutor Manuel de Sousa Pacheco expresses his wish to be buried in the chapterhouse of the convent of S. Francisco of Lisboa. If there is no place there, he wishes to be buried in the convent of S. Francisco of Xabregas. He appoints his eldest son, Vasco de Sousa, as his heir, with an obligation of a weekly mass every Friday.
