Will (extract) by which Doutor João Carreiro establishes an entail with houses in Rua do Poço do Borratém, Lisboa, and the farmstead (quinta) of Carapinha in Alenquer, obligating his successors to celebrate 100 annual masses for his soul and his parents' souls in the church of the convent of S. Domingos of that city. He appoints his wife, Inês de Cubelos, to be its first administrator. The testator declares that the entail's future administrators should assure that a barrel of wine produced in his farmstead is delivered, each year, to the friars of that convent and that 10 annual masses are chanted for his grandfather's soul.
