Contract and bond deed by which Manuel Pinheiro de Macedo, cavaleiro fidalgo da Casa do Rei, pays 80 000 reis to the priests of the monastery of Santo Elói, Lisboa, so they pray 40 more masses in his chapel, besides the 40 previously contracted. This money shall be employed in assets to entail.

Contract and bond deed by which Manuel Pinheiro de Macedo, cavaleiro do hábito de Cristo and tesoureiro da Tapeçaria do Rei, establishes a chapel of forty masses in the convent of Santo Elói of Lisboa. He buys from António Correia Barém a payment from a casal named Casainhos in Santo António do Tojal, which he entails to this obligation. He includes among these masses, two for the souls of his father, António Pinheiro, and of his first wife, Filipa Rodrigues de Macedo. His father had established these masses in a will approved in 1611-07-15, and had entailed to them houses in Sintra, which now became free of this obligation.
Contains certificate of livro de raiz and letter of attorney, both dated 1625-03-18; and certificate of possession of the casal by António Correia Barém, dated 1624-10-26, with petition requesting it.
