Contract and bond deed

Contract and bond deed by which the priests of the monastery of Santo Elói, Lisboa, donate a tomb in their church to Rui Tavares, cavaleiro fidalgo da Casa do Rei, his wife, Joana Neto, and their successors, in the place where their son, Pedro Tavares, is buried. Rui Tavares establishes an annual payment to be given from the revenue of his houses, until a public debt instrument is bought to replace them, to pray 30 masses and a divine office every year for their souls. The priests promise to fulfill these obligations.
Followed by note explaining that, even though the document was written in 1614-07-24, it was only signed in 1616-04-07, and by letter of acceptance by Joana Neto, dated 1616-07-09.
Contains undated petition by Rui Tavares.
