Contract and bond deed between the religious of the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo de Lisboa and Diogo Fernandes de Portalegre, in his name and in name of his wife Juliana Correia. The priests give them and their heirs and successors a place in the church of the convent to build a chapel dedicated to S. Pedro and oblige themselves to accomplish perpetual pious charges for this couple’s souls, and to provide the chapel with everything necessary. In their turn, the couple promise to offer an annual public debt instrument or rent of 35 000 réis. If they die without fulfilling the promise, this value should be taken from their assets until their heirs purchase the public debt instrument or rent. It is followed by a consent deed of Juliana Correia (made on the same date, signed on 1628-05-09).
