Will by which Manuel Álvares Tavares, do Conselho do Rei and Geral da Inquisição, entails his properties in Castelo Mendo and Lisboa. He bequeaths them to his nephew, doutor Francisco da Rosa Tavares, son of his sister Maria Tavares, and to his successors afterwards. He expresses his wish to be buried in the new church of the college of Santo Antão da Companhia de Jesus, Lisboa, in a chapel built by order of his heir, with an obligation of daily masses and a lamp lit.
