Tombo

Tombo of the chapels established by Guiomar Lourenço, his son, Marcos Mendes, and his wife, Isabel Garcês, in the church of S. Julião of Lisboa and in the convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça of Lisboa. It was issued at the order of Padre Diogo de Santa Maria, Provedor das Capelas. Both of the entails were administrated by Pedro Fernandes, Cavaleiro da Casa do Rei, at that time.

Will

Will by which Marcos Mendes, Isabel Garcês' widower, fulfilling his wife's will, ordered the celebration of a perpetual annual mass for her soul in the church of the convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, determining that this obligation should be supported with the revenues of houses he had in Lisboa. He left this entail to his niece, Isabel Mendes, indicating that she could not sell or exchange the houses for other properties. After her death, it had to be transmitted to a son or daughter of her choice.
Furthermore, the testator bequeathed houses in Rua Nova D'El-Rei, Lisboa, to his niece, which had been left to him by his mother with the obligation of supporting the celebration of 2 sung masses, each year, in the church of S. Julião. Those houses had to be passed to another son or daughter of her choice.
Marcos Mendes declared that his body had to be buried inside that convent.
