Codicil (extract)

Codicil (extract) by which Antónia Duarte bequeaths her patrimony to her husband, António de Oliveira, with the obligation of celebrating 2 annual masses for her soul in the hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Palma. After her husband's death, the entail must be transmitted to his heirs.

Composition deed

Composition deed between António de Oliveira, Capitão da Ordenança Militar em Lisboa, João Álvares Vieira, escrivão do Juízo dos Resíduos de Lisboa, and Cristóvão da Mota Montarroio, on behalf of Brásia Maria, his wife, by which they partitioned the patrimony of Mariana Duarte, mother-in-law of the former and grandmother of the others, since she owed 102 000 to their grandchildren when she wrote her will.
António de Oliveira declares that his late wife, Antónia Duarte, left all her assets to him and ordered that, after her husband's death, they should be inherited by their nephews, João Álvares Vieira and Brásia Maria. Thus, he fulfils his wife's will by donating houses in Asseiceira and lands in Ervedeira to them, with the obligation of celebrating 2 annual masses for her soul.

Oliveira, António de (flor.1685)
