Certificate confirming that D. Catarina de Miranda, daughter of licenciado Rui Mendes de Abreu, chanceler da Relação do Brasil, and wife of António da Silveira, had made a deposit of the money belonging to the third part of her father in order to buy a public debt instrument to entail to his chapel. The deposit had been made in 1623-12-05.

Sale and bond deed by which Sebastião de Abreu Serrão sells to D. Catarina de Miranda e Abreu a casal in Verrimão, Lisboa, which she entails to the chapel established by her father, doutor Rui Mendes de Abreu.
Followed by acceptance deed. Contains certificates of properties, inventory of the lands, certificate of payment of sisa, petition and dispatches.

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Rui Mendes de Abreu establishes a chapel in the convent of S. Francisco de Xabregas, Lisboa, with an obligation of two weekly masses for his soul. He appoints his daughter, D. Catarina, as first administrator, and her descendants afterwards. She must use the money from his third part to buy properties to entail. If she dies before her father, the entail shall pass to Lourenço Mendes, Rui Mendes de Abreu's nephew.
