Court sentence

Court sentence ordering Vicente Dias to sign a declaration referring where should be celebrated the masses determined by his late mother, Quitéria Dias, to make the partition of her patrimony and to deliver a copy of her will chart to the Provedoria das Capelas.

Dias, Vicente (flor.1595-1630)

Will chart

Will chart by which Quitéria Dias, João Gonçalves' widow, establishes an entail with houses and mills in Lisboa, vineyards in Campolide and houses in Charneca, appointing her son, Vicente Dias, to be its first administrator. He and his descendants are obligated to support the celebration of 22 annual masses for her soul in a church to be chosen by the former. The testator declares that her body should be buried in the church of Santa Justa of that city, inside the grave where are buried her husband and their children.

Dias, Quitéria (flor.1594)

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Vicente Dias appoints his wife and son to be the executors of his will, asking them to use the revenues of the third part of his assets to celebrate 8 annual masses for his soul and for the souls of his father and siblings.

Dias, Vicente (flor.1595-1630)

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which João Dias Correia bequeaths vineyards and olive groves in Charneca and houses in Lisboa to Francisco, Manuel Luís and Tomásia Dias' son, with the obligation of celebrating 80 annual masses for his soul and the souls of his grandmother and father in the church of Nossa Senhora da Vitória or in the church of Santa Justa of that city. After Francisco's death, the entail should be passed to one of his descendants.
The testator also leaves houses in Lisboa and vineyards in S. João dos Bem Casados to his heirs, asking them to give alms to 12 poor people on S. John the Baptist's day and to send, each year, a poor man to pray for him in the church where his grave will be placed.

Correia, João Dias (flor.1637)
