Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which António Vieira establishes a chapel with his properties in Oeiras. He appoints his natural son, João, as his universal heir, if he is still living, under the condition that he allows the entailment of his legitime and orders 15 annual masses in the church of Oeiras and a divine office in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Lisboa. If his son doesn't accept these conditions or if he is already deceased, the entail shall pass to Baltasar da Rocha, António Vieira's brother, and to his descendants with an obligation of seven masses and one divine office in the same churches. Baltasar da Rocha shall take care of the properties while diligences are made to find António Vieira's son.
