Court sentence

Court sentence ordering António Gomes do Alemo to buy from António de Torres, his cousin, the quarter of the engine which they had received from their grandfather, Diogo Rodrigues de Lisboa, and to annex it to his entail, according to their grandfather's will. António de Torres shall employ the money from the sale to buy properties for his own entail, and will be called to give notice of the fulfillment of the obligations ordered by their grandfather.

Sentence by which it was confirmed the petition addressed by the administrator Jorge Gomes do Alemo for the incorporation in the entail of some properties left by his deceased brother António Rodrigues da Serra. The entailed proprieties are composed of houses in Lisboa; a vineyards and olive groves in Camarate; and two mills in Bucelas and Seixal. Preceded by an undated probate inventory, requested by the administrator.

Tenure warrant to Vasco Nabo Salter de Mendonça and Joana Leocádia Pimentel Sottomayor, his wife, administrators of the entail of abade António Rodrigues da Serra, authorising him to lease two vineyards, located in the road from Lisbon to Camarate, to José da Silva and his wife, for the annual income of 21.000 réis and the tithe pension ("laudémio da décima").

Will (extract) by which António Rodrigues da Serra established that his estate should be incorporated into his father's entail, Diogo Rodrigues de Lisboa. António Gomes do Alemo was designated to be its first administrator and he was due to order the celebration of masses. If he was not in the possession of this entail, the celebration of masses should be ordered by his father, and António Rodrigues da Serra's brother, Jorge Gomes do Alemo.

Will (extract) by which Diogo Rodrigues de Lisboa establishes two entails for his two grandsons, António Gomes do Alemo, son of his son Jorge Gomes do Alemo, and António de Torres, son of his daughter, Isabel Henriques, and of Diogo Lopes.
He bequeaths three quarters of his engine in Baía de Todos-os-Santos to António Gomes do Alemo, with the obligation of one daily mass in his chapel of Santo Ângelo, in the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Lisboa. If he dies before his grandfather, the entail shall pass to his father and siblings, or, if they have no descendants, to the lineage of António de Torres. He bequeaths the other quarter of his engine to António de Torres, with an obligation of five annual masses in the same chapel and the same clauses of succession as the other entail. After four years, António Gomes do Alemo shall use the revenue of his entail to buy the part of the engine belonging to António de Torres and annex it to his entail. António de Torres shall buy properties to entail in its place with the revenue from this sale. If both their lineages are extinguished, the sucession shall be by appointment.
