Contract and bond deed

Contract and bond deed by which D. Margarida de Noronha Camões, represented by her husband, Diogo Ribeiro Soares, fidalgo da Casa do Rei, agrees with the priests of the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo on the location of the chapel of the entail founded by her grandfather, Pedro Álvares de Camões, of which she was the administrator. Pedro Álvares de Camões had wanted it to be built next to the chapel of S. João Baptista, causing a conflict with the priests of the convent, who didn't agree with the location. D. Margarida de Noronha promises to fulfill the obligations of the chapel, which consist of three weekly masses and other annual masses. She also gives money to build an altarpiece.
Contains letter-of-attorney.

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Margarida de Noronha declares that she had made an agreement with the friars of the convent of Nossa Senhora do Carmo of Lisboa and decided to leave a rent to support the pious obligations associated to the chapel established by her grandfather, Pedro Álvares de Camões, adding two weekly masses to them, which should be perpetually celebrated for her soul. She asks her son, Manuel Ribeiro, who would inherit the third part of her assets, to buy a rent of 5 200 réis, which must be entailed to that chapel. The testator also states that no part of those assets could be incorporated in the other entails administrated by her son.
