Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Valentim de Barona entails his houses in Lisboa with an obligation of 50 annual masses for his soul and the soul of his wife, Maria da Costa, in the church of the monastery of Nossa Senhora do Carmo. He designates his daughter, Maria de Barona, married to Francisco Vales, as first administrator of his entail, and her descendants afterwards. If she doesn't have any, the entail shall pass to her sister, Leonor de Barona, married to Jacques Verjões, and to her successors. He donates other properties to his granddaughter, also called Maria de Barona, nun in the monastery of Odivelas, which must be annexed to his entail after her death.
