Appointment deed by which D. João de Brissos designates some of his houses to repay his debt to the priests of the monastery of Santíssima Trindade.

Carta de arrematação by which the priests of the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa took possession of the revenue of the houses which belonged to D. João de Brissos and D. Maria de Figueiredo, administrators of the chapel of S. João Baptista of the monastery of Santíssima Trindade, established by doutor Gaspar de Figueiredo, thus settling the debt the administrators owed to the chapel.
Contains certificate of payment of masses, termo, certificate of an exemplification of a will and letters of possession (extract), dispatches, processual documentation, like the notification of the administrator, motions and resignation deed, seizure warrant of the houses, and auto de arrematação.
Followed by letter of possession of the houses.

Certificate

Certificate issued by frei Manuel Nunes, sacristão-mor of the convent of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, confirming that the administrators of the chapel established by doutor Gaspar de Figueiredo and D. Isabel, his wife, have the obligation to order a daily mass and an annual sung mass for the soul of the institutors in the chapel of S. João Baptista of their monastery. The obligations had been fulfilled until the year of 1651. The current administrator was D. João de Brissos, husband of D. Maria de Figueiredo.

Donation deed

Donation deed by which the priests of the convent of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa give to doutor Gaspar de Figueiredo, do Conselho do Rei e desembargador do Paço, and to his wife, D. Isabel, the chapel which had been founded in 1576 by Leonel de Lima, whose mother had given it up because its obligations weren't being paid, to serve as their burial place. They shall use the money given to them by Gaspar de Figueiredo to repay Leonel de Lima's mother the money already spent in the chapel.

Resignation deed by which D. João de Brissos, fidalgo da Casa do Rei, mestre de campo and cavaleiro da Ordem de Cristo, gives up his previous motion and appeal in the conflict he has with the priests of Santíssima Trindade, and accepts a previous sentence which ordered him to pay his debt.
Preceded by dispatches, confirmation of the account of the administration of the chapel and written appeal.

Followed by motion by D. João de Brissos and his wife, D. Maria de Figueiredo, heir of the entail of Gaspar de Figueiredo.

Will

Will by which doutor Gaspar de Figueiredo, do Conselho do Rei and desembargador do Paço, expresses his wish to be buried in the chapel he and his deceased wife, D. Isabel, started to build in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa, which he orders should be quickly finished. He entails to his chapel a public debt instrument of 30 000 réis which should be acquired with the remaining part of his and his wife's properties, and entails his other properties. He designates as heir and administrator of his entail his great-nephew, Gaspar de Figueiredo, second son of João Vaz Rebelo and Maria de Lemos Figueiredo, his nephew and niece, and his descendants. He requests João Vaz Rebelo to administer the entail during his son's minority, and to annex his and his wife's third parts to it.
