Certificate by which frei Bernardo da Cruz, vigário residente no convento da Santíssima Trindade de Lisboa, confirms, at the request of Fernando Martins Cardoso, that the convent of Santíssima Trindade possesses a public debt instrument of 22 000 réis in the Alfândega of Lisboa, which are entailed to the chapel of Gaspar Cardoso de Almeida.

Contract and bond deed

Contract and bond deed by which António de Almeida de Abreu, cónego da Sé de Viseu and administrator of the entail founded by Gaspar Cardoso de Almeida, who had been pajem da escrivaninha do rei D. João III and fidalgo da sua Casa, acquires a chapel in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade de Lisboa to fulfill the obligations of the deceased. He promises to buy a public debt instrument in the Alfândega of Lisboa to entail to the obligations of the chapel. In the meanwhile, he entails his salterns and quinta da Póvoa, with its olive groves. The priests of the convent promise to fulfill the obligations of the chapel.

Declaration by which Fernando Martins de Almeida Cardoso lists, under oath, the properties of the entail established by Gaspar Cardoso de Almeida, of which he had taken possession only a short while before, consisting of olive groves, houses, salterns and a vineyard.
Preceded by undated motion about the properties, in which he declares he took the administration of the entail at the end of 1612, and beginning of 1613.

Will (extract) by which Gaspar Cardoso de Almeida expresses his wish to be buried in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa. He appoints his natural son, Jerónimo Cardoso, as his heir, with the obligation of buying properties to entail to an obligation of a daily mass for his soul in his chapel.
