Deed of sale

Deed of sale by which António Gomes and Águeda Botelho sell a property in Santiago do Cacém to Manuel de Andrade, escrivão da mesa grande dos Armazéns do Rei. Manuel de Andrade annexes it to the chapel established by Maria da Fanseca, which he is administering during the minority of his son, João de Andrade Corvo. The property was sold to him with an obligation of eight annual masses in the convent of S. Francisco de Alcácer do Sal for the soul of licenciado Gonçalo Vaz Corvo, Manuel's brother-in-law, which he and his son also promise to fulfill.
Contains certificate of payment of sisa, documentation related to the sale of the subrogated lease and extract of the will of Gonçalo Vaz Corvo.

Will (extract) by which Maria da Fonseca entails her properties in Santiago do Cacém with an obligation of 26 annual masses in the monastery of Santíssima Trindade of Lisboa. She designates her nephew, Manuel Corvo, son of her cousin Luísa Adães and of Martinho Viegas, as first administrator of her chapel, and his descendants afterwards.
