Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which António Teles de Meneses established an entail, designating his cousin, the countess, to be its first administrator. She was due to order the celebration of masses wherever she wanted. She was also nominated to be the tutor of his legitimized son Aires Teles de Meneses while he was not of age to succeed. After his son's death, this entail should be succeeded by his nephew D. Rodrigo de Lencastre. The institutor also left his son the "capitania mor da nau da Índia" and his wife was also obligated to prepare his future marriage. His slaves were also manumitted.
