Court sentence

Court sentence attesting the validity of João da Maia da Mota's nuncupative will. At the time of his death, the testator called for a notary to declare his will, answering to his questions and those formulated by a friar of the convent of Santíssima Trindade. He designated Diogo da Maia, his cousin and brother-in-law, as his universal heir and expressed the wish to institute 2 daily perpetual masses for his soul in the church of S. Julião of Lisboa.

Public debt instrument of 30 000 réis given by the Senado da Câmara de Lisboa to Diogo da Maia, administrator of the chapel established by João da Maia da Mota, his cousin. Contains copies of a warrant issued at 1661-09-05 and a receipt issued on 1661-09-06.
