Court sentence freeing the quinta da Bouça in Cascais, which belonged do doutor António de Sousa de Macedo and was leased "in fatiota" to the entail and chapel of António Durães, in the cathedral of Lisboa, which was administered by D. Miguel Luís de Meneses. António de Sousa de Macedo was given full possession of the farmstead and had only to pay 6 000 réis of "censo" to that chapel.

Subrogation deed

Subrogation deed by which doutor António de Sousa de Macedo, do Conselho do Príncipe, and his wife, D. Mariana Lemercier, administrators of the chapel established by Ana Wandenhuvel, subrogate the farmstead in Caparica, previously entailed to this chapel, for another farmstead called da Bouça, in Cascais. The farmstead in Caparica keeps the obligation it had to the monastery of Nossa Senhora da Rosa of Lisboa. The farmstead of Bouça had been leased "in fatiota" to the entail and chapel administered by D. Miguel Luís de Meneses, who had given up its possession, and had an obligation to annualy pay 6 000 réis to this entail.

Subrogation warrant in favour of doutor António de Sousa de Macedo and D. Mariana Lemercier allowing them to subrogate the farmstead entailed to the chapel of Ana Wandenhuvel for another one in Cascais. The chapel previously entailed can be sold with the obligation it had to the monastery of Nossa Senhora da Rosa of Lisboa.

Will (extract) by which Ana Wandenhuvel bequeaths her daughter, Ana de Bois, married to João Lemercier, her farmstead in Caparica, Almada, and money, entailed as a chapel, with an obligation of two annual masses for her soul in the church of the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus of Lisboa. The administration of the chapel shall be made by appointment among her descendants, so the chapel is always in her generation. This farmstead already had an obligation of 5 000 réis to the monastery of Nossa Senhora da Rosa of Lisboa, which she requests her daughter to take from the farmstead.
