Codicil (extract) by which Maria Rodrigues designates her niece, Margarida de Seixas, as heir of her houses in Lisboa, with an obligation of ordering three annual masses for her soul in the convent of Nossa Senhora de Jesus of Lisboa, where she wishes to be buried. She will take possession of these houses after the death of Maria's husband, Luís de Freitas, who shall have their usufruct in his lifetime. After Margarida's death they shall pass to her successors as an entail. If Margarida dies without heirs, or before Luís de Freitas, the houses will not be entailed and can be sold with the obligation of masses.
