Declaration deed

Declaration deed by which Doutor Antão Martins declared that Isabel Martins, his mother, had established in her will that her eldest son, Pedro Garcia, had to employ 300 000 réis in pious deeds for her soul. After his death, he would be succeeded by Antão, who would appoint the next administrator. Since Pedro Garcia died before the partition of his mother's estate, Antão Martins inherited houses in Rua da Palma, which became linked to the pious obligation. Being its administrator, he appointed Maria da Barreira, his wife, to succeed him and asked her to designate an heir at the time of her death.
