Will (extract) by which Manuel de Soutomaior bequeathed the third part of his assets, including houses in Lisboa and a vineyard in Ameixoeira, to his wife, Isabel Teixeira, obligating her and her successors to support the celebration of 5 annual masses for his soul in the church of S. João Batista of Lumiar. After her death, the entail would be inherited by Padre Nicolau da Assunção, the testator's son, and subsequently passed to Isabel de Soutomaior, his granddaughter. Those assets could never be sold or exchanged for others without being accompanied by the pious obligation.
