Subrogation deed

Subrogation deed by which Sebastião Machado, tabelião, subrogates a store in Rua Direita, Lisboa, entailed to Maria Gonçalves' chapel, for lands in Vale de Porcos, located on Rio Maior. Isabel de Amorim, Sebastião Machado's wife, approved this deed.

Amorim, Isabel de (flor.1637)

Will (extract)

Will (extract) by which Maria Gonçalves bequeathed the third part of her assets to her daughter, Isabel de Amorim, including a store in Rua Direita de S. Miguel, Lisboa, determining that its revenues should support the celebration of 4 annual masses in the church of S. Miguel of Alfama. If António da Cruz, her son, was ordained a priest, that property would be given to him. If that did not happen, the entail would be passed, after Isabel de Amorim's death, to her brother, António, and subsequently transmitted to Ângela, the testator's granddaughter.

Gonçalves, Maria ([before 1637])
