Will

Will by which Helena Pires, widow of Luís Fernandes, tratador de mercadorias, declared that she wanted to be buried in the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, in her husband's grave. She donated to Maria da Costa, daughter of Jerónima da Costa and Diogo de Faria, some houses located in Lisboa, with the obligation to celebrate masses in this church. If she died childless, it should succeed her youngest sister. The institutor also declared that her husband left her his third, which included an olive grove located in Poço dos Mouros and 100 000 réis from a farm in Guiné, that she wanted to incorporate into this entail, with the obligation to order the celebration of masses for his soul. The institutor also left some houses to the eldest son of Jerónimo Vaz and Margarida da Cunha, with the obligation to celebrate masses in the Monastery of Esperança for the institutor's soul. Finally, she left some houses to Bárbara da Cunha, wife of António Taveira and daughter of Jerónimo Vaz and Margarida da Cunha, with the obligation to celebrate masses also in the Monastery of Esperança. If Bárbara da Cunha died childless, the houses should not be inherited by her husband and would be transmitted to the Misericórdia de Lisboa.
